Vision For Preble County

I want to see our county prosper with free market solutions to economic problems.

Now is NOT the Time For Goose Creek Crossing

In spite of public opposition, your current commissioners will be borrowing millions in the name of Preble County taxpayers to fund this project

Nationally, we are in debt. The solution should be to cut spending. With those cuts, will come cuts to the state's budget, and then cuts to the county budget. With the prospect of less money, now is not the time to put us into debt

Current claim of the commissioners is that this project will create much needed jobs in the area. There are NO private sector businesses interested in developing the area, so how many invisible jobs will those invisible companies create? And what is their plan to pay for this project if no one ever builds there? And how long do they predict before there will be interest? IF there are jobs created there, there would be no guarantee that any of those jobs would go to Preble County residents

Since there is currently NO private sector interest in developing at Goose Creek Crossing, the efforts of the Economic Development Director would be better spent retaining the businesses we already have and filling empty commercial property around the county where infrastructure already exists

This is the kind of thinking that has gotten us in trouble as a country, and threatens us as a county.

Businesses create jobs; government creates regulation and bureaucracy.

If you are concerned, call your current commissioners and ask them to STOP before it is too late. Call your current Preble County Commissioners office: (937) 456-8143 to voice your concern

A TRUE Conservative Voice

I am asking for your vote in this primary to replace the "tax and spend" politicians we have in place right now. Since I have been watching them, your current commissioners have raised or attempted to raise your taxes 3 times. We now have a "bed tax", which makes it harder for the owners of these businesses to compete with other hotels/motels. And that does not encourage other motels/hotels to start businesses in our county. They just increased your landfill assessment by 44%, after ignoring the problem of the landfill deficits for YEARS. Look for that increase on your property tax bill for 2012. This tax increase also hurts small businesses, as any increase in the cost of doing business would. And they tried to raise the tax you pay when you buy the license for your cars and trucks at the BMV. All of this is on top of the fee (tax) they passed for every real estate sales transaction that happens in the county.

Leadership

Founded the Preble County Liberty Group, a chapter of the Dayton TEA Party, to organize other conservative voices to keep government at all levels accountable to "We the People". We stopped the current commissioners from raising our permissive license fees at the BMV.

Professional Experience

Problem Solver: 18 years experience as a Systems Analyst in various industries (insurance, retail, and manufacturing). As a systems analyst, I solve problems every day. I work within teams to bring the right people together to get the job done, and get it done right! I can bring the skills that have served my career in the business world to serve as your county commissioner.

Fighting liberal policies

Lead the petition signature drive in Preble County to get the Healthcare Freedom Amendment (Issue 3) on the ballot this past November. Our group got 25% of registered voters to sign! Opposing the Goose Creek Crossing Project that our current commissioners are pursuing.

Transparency

Would like to see the commissioner meetings on video and then put on the county website for anyone to watch. To hear the audio of most of the meetings, go to WWW.CITIZENSFORPREBLECOUNTY.COM

Education

Graduated from Miami University with a degree in Computer Science. Graduated as Valedictorian from Preble Shawnee High School.

Family Values

I have lived in Preble County almost 40 years. I am married to Fred Robertson and we have a small Christmas tree farm just south of Camden. I have 3 children. I am the proud grandmother of 1 granddaughter. Fred is a volunteer fire fighter for Somers Township and a Boy Scout leader.

Pro Life

I believe that life begins at conception. I believe that our Constitution should be protecting the lives of our unborn children.

Looking forward to November!
